CHARTER MEMBERSHIP

In honor of those helping to make our new Museum possible, we are creating a special Give Our Kids a Hand donor wall near the entrance of the Museum.  We invite you to be a part of history and join the wall by tracing your hand or that of your children's or grandchildren's. Your handprint will be cut from brushed aluminum, engraved with your signature or child’s printed name and mounted on the donor wall.

This is a special time in the history of the Children's Museum of Los Angeles.  For members who join us in helping to make this world-class museum a reality, a limited number of Charter Memberships are availabe for $2,500 each.  As a Charter Member, you will enjoy:

• An aluminum-cast replica of a handprint (your child's or your own) on a permanent donor wall

MAKING YOUR HANDPRINTS

Please follow the directions carefully.

1. On a blank, white, 8.5” x 11” piece of paper (e.g. copy paper)
   • Remove any jewelry and place your hand (or that of your children’s) palm-side down.
   • Use a black ballpoint pen to trace the outline of your hand with one single continuous line (no breaks), close the line around your hand at your wrist. Do not use pencil. Do not go over the line a second time to make it darker. Do not make one line in pencil and go over it again with pen or marker. Tracing needs to be neat and clean.
   • Sign or print your name (or have your child/grandchild write his/her name) in the palm of the hand. If your gift is in honor of a friend or loved one, please print his or her name in the palm. Signatures or family names (e.g., The Smith Family) only, please. Do not go over your signature or printed name a second time to make it darker.
