Paper Bag Puppet Instructions²

MATERIALS TO USE:
glue, scissors, crayons, a flat bottom paper bag (reuse your
lunch bag) a hole punch, feathers, felt, yarn, ribbon, and
collage materials (leftover cut up fabric, used fancy paper
or sparkle paper, stickers etc) for decorating.

Instructions:

1.  Place your hand inside the paper bag, fold the flat bottom
     flap down to create a "mouth" for your puppet. Practice
     opening and closing the puppet’s mouth.

2.  Decorate your puppet any way you choose: add eyes,
     hair, a face, hands, and things like clothes and hats.
     Can you decorate both the front and the back? What kind
     of puppet did you create? A person? An animal?
     A fantasy puppet?

3.  Finished! You can make your puppet talk, sing, and
     dance. Create many paper bag puppets and act out a play
     or story.
